Leadership
Sandeep Karnik is the Founder and CEO of Savika. Mr. Karnik is a seasoned executive leader with a progressive 20-year track record in corporate strategy, product management, new market entry, business development, and capital budgeting. Early in his career, Mr. Karnik served as a management strategy consultant for the Mitchell Madison Group and Deloitte Consulting where he advised Fortune 50 companies, non-profits and startups. While at Deloitte, he established Deloitte’s Strategy and Operations Advisory Practice in Hyderabad, India. Mr. Karnik has held a variety of leadership positions in high-profile technology companies such as Nuance Communications, the leading voice recognition software company and AllScripts Health Solutions, a leading electronic medical record company. Mr. Karnik most recently served UnitedHealthGroup as Vice President of Market Strategy (Optum Analytics), Chief of Staff to the President of Optum Life Sciences and Vice President of Alternative Markets for Data and Tools. He is passionate about commercializing innovations that improve quality of life and health outcomes.
Mr. Karnik received his Master of Public Health in Healthcare Policy and Management from the Harvard School of Public Health, Master of Business Administration from the Richard Ivey Business School and Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Western Ontario, in Canada. Mr. Karnik served as the HSPH Appointed Director to Harvard Alumni Association (HAA). Mr. Karnik has run the Boston Marathon for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, bicycled in the Multiple Sclerosis Society Ride for a Cure, and presently serves as a youth mentor for the organization, Partners for Youth with Disabilities.
